The Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union has been a part of this community since 1959. Since the inception of credit unions, the motto has always been “Not for profit, not for charity, but for service”. The Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union holds true to this motto by annually selecting a local recipient for a monetary donation.

Any non-profit organization who would like to be considered as the recipient of our fund-raising efforts is asked to complete a Social Responsibility Application. These applications are available each November. Fundraisers have included 50/50 Raffles, Candle Sales, Bowl-A-Thons, Bake Sales and Raffles.

Donations are presented at our Annual Meeting. Over the years we have donated to the Lisbon Area Christian Outreach, Lisbon Emergency, Durham and Lisbon School Libraries, Technology for Local Schools and the Recreation Departments. Our recipient for 2008 is Advocates for Children.
