Direct Deposit

Don’t stand in line on payday to deposit your check! With Direct Deposit, your payroll, retirement, Social Security or other recurring checks can be electronically deposited into your Lisbon Credit Union account. There are no lunch hour lines, postal delays, or theft to worry about. The money is in your account the morning you are normally paid and ready to use.

To set up Direct Deposit, provide your employer or other payment provider with the Lisbon Credit Union’s routing number/ABA#211287984.

To deposit funds to your Lisbon Credit Union checking account, provide your employer or other payment provider with your checking account number. This is the 12 digit set of numbers on the bottom of your check that begins with "700090". For simplicity and accuracy, you may want to provide them with a voided check for the account receiving funds.

To deposit funds to your Lisbon Credit Union primary savings account, provide your employer or other payment provider with your Lisbon Credit Union savings account number.

Once you establish Direct Deposit with your employer or other payment provider and the funds are being sent to the Lisbon Credit Union, you can allocate the funds to go to your various Lisbon Credit Union accounts.

Notary Public

A Notary Public is a public officer who serves as an impartial witness to the signing of documents and to the acknowledgement of signatures on documents.

Notary service is available to all Members FREE of CHARGE. Notaries are available during business hours and no appointment is necessary. To help us better serve you, please keep the following in mind:

  • DO NOT sign the documents that require notarizing until you are in the presence of the Notary
  • Bring proper identification with you
  • If the document requires more than one person to sign, ALL persons must be present

You should have already read the documents and know what you are signing or certifying. It is not the responsibility of the Notary Public to review and explain the documents to you. The Notary Public is simply certifying that YOU signed the document(s).

Signature Guarantee

The Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union Signature Guarantee, available through the Securities Transfer Agents Medallion Program (STAMP), provides transfer agents and issuers of securities with certain assurances that the submitter of an instruction is an appropriate person to endorse or instruct them to process a transaction.

A Medallion Stamp is used to guarantee an endorsement on transactions involving a change in ownership or a liquidation of the following item:

  • Stocks
  • Bonds
  • Mutual Funds
  • Savings Bonds
  • Other investment vehicles that meet the definition of a security

NOTE: A change of name on a security is considered a change in investment and will require a Medallion Stamp.

To help us better serve you, please keep the following in mind:

  • DO NOT sign the document that requires a Signature Guarantee until you are in the presence of the Signature Guarantor.
  • Bring proper identification with you
  • Bring a copy of the most recent account statement for the security being liquidated

U.S. Savings Bonds

The Bureau of the Public Debt announced in 2011 that paper savings bonds were being replaced with electronic savings bonds and would no longer be available for purchase at financial institutions as of January 1, 2012. As a result, the Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union no longer offers the sale of savings bonds.

Savings bonds may be purchased directly from the US Treasury at https://www.savingsbonds.gov/BC/SBCPrice.

For the convenience of our Members, US Savings Bonds may be redeemed at both our Lisbon and Lewiston locations.

VISA® Gift Cards

Always searching for the 'perfect' gift and never finding it? Lisbon Credit Union to the rescue!

We offer Visa Gift Cards for any occasion. Cards can be issued in any dollar amount you wish up to $1,000. A variety of designs are available ranging from birthday to holiday with everything in between.

Whether you are attending a wedding, baby shower or shopping for a teen and have no idea what to buy, a Visa Gift card makes the perfect gift. The recipient can use them to purchase anything they want—your treat—wherever Visa is accepted in the United States.

All cards will have a five year expiration period.

Register Your Card

It is extremely important to register your card immediately. This will provide you with the additional security required to allow you to use your card for internet or phone purchases as well as requesting a replacement card in the event that it might be lost or stolen.

Register your card by visiting www.myprepaidbalance.com or by calling 866.496.6183.

Note the complete card number, expiration date and amount of the gift card on your original receipt from the Credit Union. You will need to refer to this receipt should you need a replacement card. For your protection, sign the back of your card immediately.

Check Your Balance:

You can check your balance by calling 866-496-6183 or by visiting www.myprepaidbalance.com

To Report A Lost Or Stolen Card

Call the Credit Union at 353.4144 or Visa at 866.496.6183 to report that your card has been lost or stolen. You MUST have registered your card and have the card number.

Tips for using your gift card:

At Stores:
Always select CREDIT when making a purchase. If your purchase exceeds the balance on the card, notify the clerk of the amount available and that you will pay the difference with another payment type. This is known as a ‘split tender transaction’.

At Gas Stations:
You will need to present the card to the attendant inside the gas station. Gift cards can not get authorizations at the pump.

At Restaurants:
Please be aware that restaurants often authorize an additional 20% gratuity charge to your bill. The actual charge will be the price of the meal plus any gratuity that you add.

These Cards Are Not Re-loadable.
Gift Cards CANNOT be used at ATM Machines.

Visa® gift cards are issued by MetaBank®, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.

1.) One free Gift Card per month. $3.00 charge for each additional gift card within the same month.
2.) A $2.95 inactivity fee will be charged after 12 consecutive months of inactivity
3.) A $5.00 fee will be charged for a lost/stolen card replacement
