Credit Union Gifts Two Cameras to Lisbon High School

The Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union (LCFCU) recently purchased two cameras for Lisbon High School (LHS). In April 2013, the Credit Union’s Social Responsibility Committee selected three recipients for 2013 fundraising efforts. Amongst these recipients was Lisbon High School. After contacting the Schools’ Community Resource Advisor, Monica Millhime, the Credit Union was made aware that LHS was in need of new cameras.  To accommodate their needs, the Lisbon Credit Union dedicated certain fundraisers to benefit the school. Employee Jean Days and Candy Bar sales were active since March to raise sufficient funds for the school.

Enough money was raised just in time to purchase the cameras for a yearbook conference in August. These high quality cameras will be used for several activities at the school, including press releases, sports events, club activities, community service coverage, field trips and the yearbook staff and more.   In addition to the cameras, the remaining funds collected through the year will go towards professionally designed posters and banners promoting positive messages throughout the school.

Presenting the cameras to members of the LHS yearbook staff, Paula Caron and David Judd are (pictured l-r) LCFCU employees Kristi Foss, Member Service Representative and Selma Basic, Marketing Officer.  Caron and Judd are members of the senior Class of 2014 and community service young adult volunteers at the school.  FMI on other events and programs at Lisbon High School call 754.0021 or email  All the latest schools news can be found on Facebook at Community Resource News in Lisbon Schools.  Photo by Monica Millhime.
