Home Heating Seminar with Downeast Energy

Downeast’s Troy Lambert speaking about heating systems.

On October 27, 2010, the Lisbon Credit Union invited representatives from Downeast Energy to come and present some home heating tips to our Members during a free Member Educational Seminar. With heating fuel costs on the rise, the focus of the seminar was to discuss and answer tangible questions about how Members can effectively save money on heating this winter. Information was also available on how to receive up to $3,000 on approved home energy efficiency projects through Efficiency Maine.

The presenters from Downeast Energy were Mike Leslie, Jay Prindall, Mike Harnish, Troy Lambert and Mary Ann Adams. Mr. Lambert kicked off the presentation with a discussion about existing heating systems and offered tips for improvement. Mr. Harnish, who is a Certified Building Performance Institute (BPI) Energy Auditor, continued by walking the audience through a certified BPI energy audit and highlighting the programs offered by Efficiency Maine. The other presenters added supporting information throughout the program.

If you were unable to attend this seminar and would like more information on the programs offered by Efficiency Maine, please contact the Credit Union at (207) 353-4144 or (877) 353-4144. We can provide you with materials from Efficiency Maine such as a do-it-yourself guide, energy savings booklet and a brochure highlighting available incentives.

The Lisbon Credit Union would like to thank Downeast Energy for their participation with this seminar and Efficiency Maine for providing materials for Members. Visit Efficiency Maine online at www.efficiencymaine.com.
