Lisbon – George Roy, Lorraine Turcotte and Selma Basic, of Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union (LCFCU) recently met with Lisbon High School Gartley Street Program instructors Andy DePres and Brian Breton along with the schools’ Community Resource contact, Monica Millhime.  The stakeholders discussed a financial planning program complementing the curriculum offered at the school.  LCFCU is one of the Lisbon School Department’s Community Partners in Education.

Over the next several weeks, LCFCU employees will provide instructions relating to the features and benefits of various deposit account options offered at financial institutions.  “Students will be introduced to the services provided by debit cards, credit cards, home banking and more,” shares George Roy, LCFCU Treasurer/Manager.  “Information on the various types of car, personal and mortgage loans will be explained along with the process of how loan decisions are made including the four C’s of credit, collateral, credit history, capacity (ability to repay) and character.”
