Lisbon Credit Union Places in top 25 for Total Funds Raised Statewide for Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign 2016.

Thanks to the generosity of Members, local communities and staff, The Lisbon Credit Union placed 21st amongst other credit unions in the state for total funds raised, and 17th in per Member contributions. A total of $8,000 was raised for the Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign by the Credit Union. Because of the top 25 placement in the in both categories, Lisbon Credit Union was awarded an additional grant of $360 to distribute to its chosen local food pantries.

The Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign is a collaborative effort between all of Maine’s credit unions. Participating credit unions raise funds for the Campaign at various times throughout the year. This year’s total was a record setting amount of $674,193.48!

All money raised is distributed to hunger organizations and food pantries throughout Maine. 100% of all of the money raised by credit unions stays in Maine and goes directly to the cause of ending hunger. This year, all the funds raised by the Lisbon Credit Union and its Members will benefit the LACO food pantry of Lisbon Falls and Hope Haven of Lewiston.
