Lisbon Credit Union holds successful annual bake sale for Ending Hunger in Maine campaign 2016.

On Friday, November 18th, The Lisbon Credit Union held a Bake Sale from 9 am to 6 pm in the main lobby of the Lisbon office. In previous years, bake sales have proven to be a successful fundraiser, and this year was no exception…a total of $522 was raised for the Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign!

Homemade cookies, muffins, brownies, breads, whoopie pies, peanut butter fudge and many other treats were provided by both employees and community members.

The Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign is a collaborative effort between all of Maine’s credit unions. Participating credit unions raise funds for the Campaign at various times throughout the year.
All money raised is distributed to hunger organizations and food pantries throughout Maine. 100% of all of the money raised by credit unions stays in Maine and goes directly to the cause of ending hunger. This year, all the funds raised by the Lisbon Credit Union will benefit the LACO food pantry of Lisbon Falls and Hope Haven of Lewiston.

Carol Day of Lisbon Area Christian Outreach (LACO) helps to sell baked goods at the Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union.
