April is Youth Savers Month

Lisbon Community FCU is excited to kick off Youth Savers Month at our credit union! April is a special month dedicated to empowering young members, aged 17 & under, to learn about financial literacy in a fun and interactive way.

Throughout the month, we have lined up some fun activities and prizes to engage our Youth Members. We hope this will spark a sense of belonging, spark curiosity, and encourage learning about money management.

When Youth Members visit our offices, they will notice a special area just for them.

There is also a special Youth Member Gift while supplies last. Limit 1 per Youth Member.

Youth Saver Month Events:

1. Count The Kisses: Guess the amount of Hershey Kisses in the jar, without going over, and you could win the jar and the sweet treats!

2. Flagship Cinema Gift Card: For coming in to see us, you can enter your name for a $20 Gift Card! We will be drawing 4-winners from the entries received.

3. Spring Pictures Display: Are you an artist? Help decorate our lobbies by drawing a Spring Picture! Bring it in and we will register your artwork for display on our walls! At the end of the month, we will draw 3 artists names for a $25 Cash Prize!

4. Focus Members: Make any deposit and get double the chance to win $25 Cash!

5. Monty Moose Members: Make any deposit; get 2 Monty Moose Bucks!

Supervisory Committee Openings

The Lisbon Community FCU is currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy on our Supervisory Committee.

The Supervisory Committee is comprised of three to five Members appointed annually by the Board of Directors.  The Committee maintains a wide range of responsibilities that are described in the Supervisory Committee Overview link found below.

Any Member interested in being appointed to the Supervisory Committee is encouraged to send a Letter of Interest and Resume highlighting your educational background and/or work experience that might assist you in meeting the responsibilities of this position.  Please email this information to supervisory.committee@lisboncu.org or mail to Board of Directors, Lisbon Community FCU, P O Box 878, Lisbon ME  04250.  Letter and Resume must be received by March 19, 2024.

LCFCU Annual Meeting

Thank you for joining us on February 11, 2024 for our Annual Meeting at Lisbon Community School! Members were given updated CU Reports, Voting, Member Gift & Cash Prizes! There was a special 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Campaign For Ending Hunger that brought in a shareable jackpot of $372! We gave $186. to one lucky Member in attendance and another $186 to help End Hunger. Here are all the details:

Annual Basket Raffle

Our Annual Basket Raffle to benefit the Campaign for Ending Hunger began August 1st and ran through August 30th. We raised $3,152 and are proud of all the individuals and businesses that donated baskets for this event.

About the Event:

Lisbon Community FCU has dedicated most of their fundraising efforts in support of the Maine Credit Union League’s Campaign for Ending Hunger. Our partnership with this campaign has allowed us to join forces with credit unions across the State of Maine for one purpose - to help end hunger in Maine. this prominent problem is still impacting our community, and food pantries all over Maine are in need of assistance to sustain their humanitarian mission. As a credit union, owned and operated by our membership, we feel it is necessary to give back to Lisbon and surrounding communities by continuing to raise funds for this vital cause.

We receive themed basket donations from individuals and businesses who believe in our cause and we raffle these baskets off to our membership and to the general public. You do not have to be a member of Lisbon Community FCU to participate in this basket raffle event.

Member Appreciation Day
